Admin users can customize the left menu depending on their organizational needs by using the Customize button at the bottom. Here are the item types that can be placed under the main menu categories.
You can add any link to the left menu by using the URL. The same domain (internal) links will open on the same page while the external links will target the new browser tab.
This menu item allows users to add a session-specific entity to the menu. In this example we have a one-to-one user relation to the Employee schema and whichever user is logged in the menu item will redirect the user to their related Employee page by using the dynamic "me" filter.
If no schema entities match the specified filter, the menu item will hidden from the user.
In another example, an user or a team entity can be filtered their names using the dynamic "me" and "my teams" filters.
This item type allows the user to group other menu items that will automatically collapse if the children aren't active.
When a category item is removed during customization, all its children will be moved to a level above.
The page item can be used to build dashboards or any custom page with widgets and tabs as described in the Custom Dashboard.
When a new schema is added it is added under the Catalog by default. These items can be removed from the Catalog and re-added to another group.
System items are configure8's preset pages that come on organization creation. Eg. Dashboard, Services, Applications, etc.
